Taylor and Kyle share a deep love for the outdoors, making Mt. Hood Skibowl their dream wedding destination. As avid snowboarders, we spend countless winter days here, but the venue’s transformation into a stunning summer and early fall wedding location is truly remarkable. Located conveniently off Highway 26 across from Government Camp, Mt. Hood Skibowl offers an accessible location with plenty of nearby lodging options. The venue’s robust transportation system ensures that you and your guests can easily navigate the mountain—whether by shuttle, ski lift (if you aren't afraid of heights), or the unforgettable alpine slide (the alpine slide is an absolute must!).
Taylor and Kyle’s first look took place at the top of the upper bowl, offering an unforgettable “on top of the world” experience. It was quiet and intimate, providing the perfect moment for them to share their personal vows before their guests arrived. The ceremony and cocktail hour were held outside the historic mid-mountain warming hut, originally built in 1937. Despite the mountain being shrouded in clouds that day, the natural beauty of the surroundings still took everyone’s breath away. The rustic charm of the warming hut added a touch of timeless elegance to the event.
After cocktail hour, guests had their pick of transportation to the reception, and unsurprisingly, the alpine slide was the top choice. The formal reception was heartfelt yet brief, ensuring there was plenty of time for celebration. Skibowl’s catering team delivered one of the best meals we’ve ever experienced at a wedding, fueling everyone for an evening of unforgettable dancing.
