Zach and Zelda’s quirky, fun personalities made them a perfect match for each other and for us. Originally from the Midwest, they met in college, and after moving to the Pacific Northwest, they felt they’d finally found their forever home. As huge fans of the outdoors—especially Mt. Hood—it was only natural for them to choose this stunning Oregon location to celebrate their love surrounded by mountains, forests, and friends. This organic moody wedding at Mt. Hood Meadows was one we'll never forget.
We started their wedding day at Cooper Spur Resort, nestled on the slopes of Mt. Hood, surrounded by close friends, family, and their wedding party. Since most guests traveled from across the country, Zach and Zelda made sure to maximize time with everyone. Their day was filled with special moments, including multiple first looks with siblings, friends, and, of course, each other.
After a short detour to some hidden waterfalls and scenic bridges, we headed up to Mt. Hood Meadows for the ceremony and reception. In true Oregon fashion, the weather was on our side, gifting us plenty of sunshine and almost no clouds. After saying "I do," we took the lifts up to an incredible viewpoint that made it feel like Mt. Hood itself was part of the celebration.
We know it sounds cliché, but this was genuinely one of the most memorable dance floors we’ve seen. By the end of the night, as the last song, Piano Man by Billy Joel, played, Zach and Zelda—fondly known as Z Squared—were surrounded by their friends and family in a joyous circle. The twist? Almost every guy joined in the celebration by pulling their shirts open and pants down—a fittingly hilarious and heartfelt finale for such an unforgettable Mt. Hood wedding.
